Join Our Team as an Attorney at Axiom

We are seeking a Technology & AI SaaS Counsel to support our clients across technology, AI, SaaS, and consumer packaged goods (CPG)/retail sectors. In this role, you will provide strategic legal guidance on cutting-edge technology initiatives, AI-driven products, and commercial agreements, helping clients navigate complex regulatory landscapes and mitigate risk. This position offers the opportunity to work with innovative companies across tech and consumer industries, advising on emerging areas such as AI, open source, and standards-related matters (e.g., SEP/FRAND).

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of agreements, including SaaS, technology, licensing, and commercial contracts within tech and CPG/retail environments
  • Advising on AI, open source, and technology-related legal issues, including compliance and risk mitigation
  • Providing guidance on intellectual property matters, including standards, SEP/FRAND considerations, and software-related issues
  • Supporting clients on product counseling, technology transactions, and digital/retail initiatives
  • Collaborating with internal teams, business stakeholders, and external counsel across industries
  • Staying current on evolving AI regulations, technology trends, and retail/consumer industry developments

Qualifications:

  • 6-12  years of experience in technology, AI, SaaS, or related commercial law (including retail/CPG exposure)
  • Strong background in technology transactions, SaaS agreements, and IP-related matters
  • Familiarity with AI, open source, and/or standards-related issues (e.g., SEP/FRAND) preferred
  • Experience advising on commercial agreements within tech or consumer-facing businesses
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license to practice law

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting AI-driven products, SaaS platforms, or cloud-based technologies
  • Exposure to consumer packaged goods, retail, or e-commerce legal work
  • Ability to work in a hybrid or remote environment and adapt to varying client needs

Compensation:

The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500-325,000 per year and for non-attorney roles is $71,250-309,750 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.  Employees may be eligible for additional benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance; paid holidays and PTO; flexible work arrangements; and professional development opportunities and tools.
