The work you’ll do as a regulatory & compliance lawyer at Axiom
As an Axiom regulatory & compliance lawyer, you'll engage in high-impact work across multiple industries while enjoying the flexibility to shape your career on your own terms, including:
Designing, implementing, and enhancing enterprise-wide compliance programs that address regulatory requirements and organizational risk. You'll conduct compliance assessments and gap analyses, develop policies and procedures, create training programs for employees and leadership, and establish monitoring and reporting frameworks. Your work builds robust compliance infrastructure that enables organizations to meet regulatory obligations while supporting business objectives across finance, healthcare, tech, energy, and other heavily regulated industries.
Providing strategic guidance on evolving federal, state, and international regulations affecting business operations and industry practices. You'll interpret new legislation and regulatory guidance, advise on cross-border compliance requirements, monitor regulatory developments and enforcement trends, and counsel clients on regulatory risk mitigation strategies. Your expertise helps organizations stay ahead of regulatory change, navigate complex legal frameworks, and maintain compliance across multiple jurisdictions while adapting to shifting regulatory landscapes.
Advising on anti-money laundering (AML), anti-corruption, FCPA compliance, sanctions programs, and financial regulatory matters for financial institutions and global enterprises. You'll develop anti-bribery and corruption policies, conduct third-party due diligence and vendor risk assessments, support internal controls and monitoring programs, and advise on Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC compliance. Your counsel protects organizations from financial crime risks while ensuring adherence to stringent regulatory requirements in banking, payments, and financial services.
Supporting ESG initiatives, sustainability reporting, environmental compliance, and corporate social responsibility programs. You'll advise on climate disclosure requirements, develop ESG governance frameworks, guide sustainability strategy implementation, and ensure compliance with emerging ESG regulations and voluntary standards. Your strategic guidance positions clients to meet stakeholder expectations and regulatory mandates while advancing sustainability goals that drive long-term business value and reputational strength.
Managing government investigations, regulatory inquiries, enforcement actions, and compliance audits. You'll respond to subpoenas and information requests from regulatory agencies, conduct internal investigations into potential compliance violations, coordinate with external counsel on enforcement matters, and develop remediation plans following regulatory findings. Your practical approach helps organizations navigate enforcement proceedings effectively while minimizing penalties, preserving regulatory relationships, and implementing corrective measures to prevent future violations.
