As an Axiom energy lawyer, you'll engage in high-impact work across multiple industries while enjoying the flexibility to shape your career on your own terms, including:
Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing power purchase agreements (PPAs), procurement contracts, interconnection agreements, and off-take agreements for renewable and traditional energy projects. You'll provide strategic legal guidance on major transactions, support project structuring from early-stage development through financing, and advise on asset acquisition and divestiture. Your counsel enables energy projects to move forward smoothly while minimizing risk and maximizing value for leading energy companies and innovative developers.
Ensuring compliance with evolving energy regulations, industry policies, and requirements across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory bodies. You'll advise on federal, state, and local energy regulations, navigate FERC and other regulatory agency matters, support permitting and licensing processes, and monitor policy developments impacting energy operations. Your expertise helps clients stay ahead of regulatory changes while maintaining operational flexibility in a complex compliance landscape.
Supporting the entire lifecycle of energy projects from construction and operations through decommissioning and asset transitions. You'll manage commercial agreements, implement contract management systems, develop procurement and supply chain contracts, handle vendor and EPC contractor relationships, and oversee operational legal requirements. Your work streamlines contract processes and ensures legal frameworks support efficient project execution across traditional and renewable energy sectors.
Advising on solar, wind, battery storage, hydrogen, and other clean energy technologies while supporting corporate sustainability goals. You'll structure renewable energy transactions, negotiate renewable energy certificates and carbon credits, advise on ESG commitments related to energy transition, and guide clients through emerging technologies and innovative energy solutions. Your strategic guidance positions clients at the forefront of the energy transition while contributing to sustainable infrastructure development.
