The work you’ll do as a labor & employment lawyer at Axiom
As an Axiom labor & employment lawyer, you'll engage in high-impact work across multiple industries while enjoying the flexibility to shape your career on your own terms, including:
Advising on compliance with FMLA, FLSA, NLRB, EEOC, Department of Labor regulations, and evolving federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple jurisdictions. You'll conduct employment compliance assessments, provide regulatory interpretation and guidance, support labor audits, and help clients navigate complex multi-jurisdictional workforce requirements. Your counsel ensures organizations maintain compliant employment practices while adapting to regulatory changes and minimizing legal risk in managing global workforces.
Developing employee handbooks, corporate policies, workplace procedures, and training programs that align with business objectives and legal requirements. You'll draft and review employment agreements, separation agreements, and restrictive covenants, advise on classification issues and compensation practices, and provide guidance on workplace culture initiatives and employee engagement strategies. Your work creates frameworks that support positive employee relations while protecting organizational interests across diverse workforce environments.
Managing internal investigations into harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and misconduct allegations while managing sensitive employee relations matters. You'll handle workplace disputes, provide counsel on disciplinary actions and terminations, conduct risk assessments for employment practices, and advise on whistleblower complaints and accommodation requests. Your strategic guidance helps companies address workplace challenges swiftly and effectively while maintaining compliance and protecting against reputational harm.
Managing employment litigation matters including discrimination claims, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination cases, and class actions. You'll handle NLRB proceedings, unfair labor practice claims, arbitration and mediation proceedings, and provide litigation avoidance strategies. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel, you'll deliver practical, business-oriented legal solutions that resolve disputes efficiently while minimizing disruption to operations and preserving productive workforce relationships.
