As an Axiom real estate lawyer, you'll engage in high-impact work across multiple industries while enjoying the flexibility to shape your career on your own terms, including:
Negotiating and drafting office leases, retail leases, industrial leases, and ground leases for dynamic commercial property portfolios. You'll manage multi-site lease portfolios, handle lease amendments and renewals, advise on tenant and landlord representation matters, coordinate lease administration and compliance, and review lease abstracts and critical date management. Your work supports companies managing extensive real estate footprints across multiple locations, ensuring favorable lease terms while controlling occupancy costs and maintaining operational flexibility for growing businesses.
Managing property acquisitions, sales, and dispositions for commercial, industrial, and mixed-use properties. You'll conduct real estate due diligence including title review and survey analysis, draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, coordinate closing processes and document execution, advise on entity structuring for real estate holdings, and handle real estate aspects of corporate M&A transactions. Your counsel guides clients through complex property transactions while identifying risks, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring smooth closings for strategic real estate investments.
Supporting real estate development projects from site acquisition through construction and completion. You'll negotiate design, development, and construction agreements, advise on zoning laws and land use regulations, manage entitlement processes and permitting requirements, draft and review architect and contractor agreements, and coordinate with local government authorities on regulatory compliance. Your expertise helps developers, owners, and corporate tenants navigate the complexities of construction projects while managing risk and ensuring projects progress efficiently toward completion.
Advising on construction loans, acquisition financing, refinancing transactions, and real estate secured lending arrangements. You'll negotiate loan documents and mortgage agreements, handle tax abatements and incentive programs, manage defaults, workouts, and foreclosure matters, support REIT structures and REO transactions, and advise on mezzanine financing and preferred equity arrangements. Your practical guidance helps clients optimize capital structures, navigate distressed situations, and structure financing solutions that support real estate investment strategies and property development goals.
