Banking & Finance Lawyer

We are currently seeking Banking, Finance & Financial Services Lawyers to work with a variety of Axiom clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice across a range of banking, finance and/or regulated financial-services matters, depending on client need.
• Support lending, financing, commercial, regulatory, product, governance, risk and business-as-usual matters for financial institutions, regulated businesses and corporate clients.
• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of documentation, including finance agreements, security documents, commercial contracts, customer terms, outsourcing and technology agreements, policies and regulatory materials.
• Partner with legal, compliance, risk, finance, treasury, product, commercial and senior business stakeholders to manage legal risk and deliver pragmatic advice in fast-paced environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Qualified lawyer eligible to practise in the UK, or an equivalent overseas qualification with strong relevant UK experience.
• Experience gained within a law firm, in-house legal team, financial institution, fintech, regulated business or other relevant commercial environment.
• Strong drafting, review, negotiation and advisory experience across banking and finance, financial services, commercial contracts, regulatory, product, governance or risk matters.
• Excellent commercial awareness, legal judgment, communication, stakeholder-management and analytical skills, with the ability to deliver practical, business-focused advice.
