Employee Relations Interview Specialist

UK - London

Axiom is supporting a large global technology company seeking an organised and confident Interview Specialist to support its UK employee relations investigations team.

This is a new role within the team, created to help End-to-End Investigators progress cases efficiently. You will schedule and conduct witness interviews only. You will not interview claimants or respondents.

The End-to-End Investigator will identify the witnesses to be interviewed and provide the interview script and questions. You will follow that structure, while using sound judgement to ask appropriate follow-up questions when a conversation develops or new information emerges. You’ll then finalise your notes and share them with the investigator managing the case.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and conduct interviews with witnesses as directed by the End-to-End Investigator.
  • Follow the interview script and questions provided for each case.
  • Probe appropriately when a witness raises relevant information that needs further clarification.
  • Prepare and finalise clear, accurate interview notes.
  • Share completed notes and relevant information with the End-to-End Investigator.
  • Manage follow-ups and meeting arrangements, including rescheduling where needed.
  • Adapt plans to changing circumstances, potentially within a two-week scheduling window.
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with people at all levels, including senior managers.
  • Handle sensitive information with care and maintain confidentiality.

Minimum qualifications

  • Junior to mid-level experience in HR, employee relations, law or a related area.
  • Strong organisation, follow-up and meeting-planning skills.
  • Good judgement and common sense.
  • The ability to follow a structured interview script while recognising when further probing is appropriate.
  • Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to rearrange and replan interviews when circumstances change.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and adapting to changing priorities.
