Join Our Team as an Export Controls Compliance Professional at Axiom

Location: Remote with 1-2 days per week on-site in D.C. or NYC

We are seeking an Export Controls Compliance Professional to support our client, one of world's leading technology companies. This position is responsible for the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of an export controls compliance program, including supporting global export compliance activities and helping address evolving export controls requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, improve, and maintain export compliance policies, procedures, internal control plans, and other compliance program tools.
  • Support global export compliance activities, including export classification reviews, compliance training, due diligence, and process automation initiatives.
  • Monitor evolving export controls laws and regulations, assess potential impacts, and provide practical solutions for export controls-related matters.
  • Partner with stakeholders to support export controls projects, conduct risk assessments, and identify and address compliance gaps.
  • Respond to sanctions intersections with U.S. export controls laws and regulations while supporting broader export compliance initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Private industry experience required.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with EAR classification, export controls program development, and compliance training.
  • Experience with the majority of professional responsibilities focused on export controls, preferably on the EAR side.
  • Strong working knowledge of the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and relevant agency guidance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting export controls compliance for technology companies.

Compensation:

The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500-325,000 per year and for non-attorney roles is $71,250-309,750 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.  Employees may be eligible for additional benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance; paid holidays and PTO; flexible work arrangements; and professional development opportunities and tools.
