Legal Consultant - Wealth Management, F100

Currently, we're hiring mid to senior lawyers with relevant experience to join us as Wealth Management Legal Consultants and provide long term support to our global F100 clients:
The responsibilities will include:
Providing legal advice, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing risks within the wealth management sector. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and collaboratively across various business functions to ensure legal compliance and mitigate legal and reputational risks.
- Legal Advisory: Provide comprehensive legal guidance and support to the Private Bank & Wealth Management division on matters related to investment, credit, and banking products/services. Participate in strategic planning and development, contribute to business objectives by designing an appropriate and consistent legal framework to execute key business initiatives and strategy.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all activities within the Private Bank & Wealth Management division adhere to relevant laws, rules, and regulations. Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations and provide timely advice to clients.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement effective legal strategies to manage risks associated with non-compliance with laws, rules, and regulations. Evaluate legal risks during business decision-making processes and ensure adherence to applicable laws and policies.
- Document Management: Draft, review, and maintain legal documents for the Private Bank & Wealth Management division to ensure compliance with relevant laws, rules, and regulations. Update standard legal documentation as necessary.
- Dispute Resolution: Provide subject matter support in legal proceedings related to Private Bank & Wealth Management activities, including litigation, arbitration, and regulatory investigations. Manage and resolve disputes and claims efficiently.
- Training and Development: Create and deliver training programs to educate employees on legal and regulatory requirements related to the Private Bank & Wealth Management division.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various business units, including investment management, portfolio managers, and traders, to provide seamless legal support. Coordinate with legal colleagues in other regions and departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Qualified lawyer ideally with a minimum of 6-12(+) years PQE at large financial services firm or reputable law firm.
- Strong knowledge and experience in wealth management, investment products and services, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice.
- Proven ability to manage legal risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies.
- Experience in engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
