Legal Consultant - Climate and Green Energy

Axiom Singapore is currently looking for a Legal professional to work with our client's Legal, Climate, and Energy team. This will be a great opportunity to apply your expertise and knowledge to lead and drive key energy, utilities, green power and green energy transition workstreams across the APJ region.

Responsibilities:

• Review and negotiate legal contracts, and provide practical, commercial and strategic legal advice on a range of energy and utility workstreams across APJ.
• Collaborate across a number of different teams and support the Energy and Climate teams to implement new, or improve on existing, commercial arrangements and contractual frameworks and policies to support rapid expansion of data centre developments through APJ.
• Monitor and identify emerging energy, renewables, energy transition and utility issues and developments from a legal or regulatory perspective, drive initiatives to ensure awareness, and compliance and improve processes within the organization, including through training, thought leadership and development of new policies and procedures.
• Provide advise on and shape new, significant and unique initiatives, strategies and processes being developed across the energy, energy transition, renewables and utilities space to enable the expansion.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4+ years experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of energy, utilities, green power, and green energy contract.
• Exposure to working on data center projects, regulatory and compliance matters, cross border jurisdiction is an advantage.
