Financial Services Legal Counsel

Switzerland - Zurich

We are currently seeking a Financial Services Legal Counsel (m/w/d) to work with various Axiom clients across all industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical in-house legal advice and support on a wide range of finance transactions.
  • Advise financial institutions on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues across a broad range of areas including financial products and services (including asset management, private equity, sustainable finance, and lending).
  • Implement legal and regulatory change projects, including the development of template agreements and negotiation guidelines.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, policies, and related legal documentation.
  • Monitor and implement measures against developments in the legal and regulatory environment.

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • 5+ years’ experience supporting financial services institutions, either in a law firm or in-house.
  • Strong commercial understanding, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to provide excellent client service and an ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders.
  • The ability to adapt to new situations and work environments, and a thirst for new challenges.
  • Fluency in English and German.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • University degree in Law, LLM preferred
  • Admission to the Swiss bar is a plus.
