Legal Counsel - Construction
Australia - Perth
We are currently seeking Legal Counsels with a specialization in Construction to work with a variety of clients across Australia.
Responsibilities:
- Advise on construction and infrastructure matters as well as draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements.
- Support in-house counsel with development and acquisition agreements on behalf of large, multi-regional developers.
- Counsel clients on risks and liabilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in-house with top organisations or in a law firm within the construction & infrastructure industry.
- Experience and expertise in construction and or infrastructure projects, including demonstrable experience of advising clients across the lifecycle from procurement, D&C to operations of major building or infrastructure projects.
- Ability to provide legal advice on capital projects and a broad range of related matters to support clients, including advising on procurement/tender.
- In-house legal experience is preferred but is not essential.
- Strong commercial understanding, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Desire to provide excellent client service and an ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders.
- The ability to adapt to new situations and work environments, and a thirst for new challenges.
- You must have the right to work and be eligible to practice where you reside.
