Law.com published an analysis by Axiom's Catherine Kemnitz, warning that generative AI represents a "wrecking ball" creating an existential threat to legal organizations that resist technological transformation. Kemnitz argues that, unlike past legal tech innovations, AI fundamentally reshapes how legal work gets done, with younger lawyers expecting AI-enabled workplaces and efficiency gains of 20-40% already being documented.
