Derivatives Lawyer

This is an exciting opportunity where you can bring your legal background and business acumen to tackle complex legal challenges on a global scale.
- Support legal and business teams with reviewing, drafting, and negotiating ISDA agreements with an emphasis on commodities and metals.
- Draft and negotiate OTC commodity derivatives documentation including ISDAs, CSAs, control agreements, confidentiality agreements, collateral agreements, risk participation agreements, give-up agreements, confirmations and ancillary documentation.
- Provide legal counsel to internal business leaders and external counsel to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and federal and international rules and regulations, particularly with regard to the ISDA.
- Assist in the implementation of new initiatives, processes, or protocols in an ever shifting market.
- 5+ years of experience practicing law, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience negotiating ISDA agreements, ideally within a large investment bank.
- Firm understanding of the regulatory landscape impacting derivatives and commodities capital markets and ability to provide sound legal advice to ensure compliance.
- Excellent knowledge of all OTC derivatives documentation with experience with commodities or metals being very beneficial although not required.
- Sound judgement, strong organisational skills, and ability to prioritise matters in a busy and fast-paced environment.
- Focussed ISDA experience is essential.
