Banking & Finance Lawyer

We are currently seeking a Banking & Finance Lawyer to work with various Axiom clients across a range of industries. In this role, you will provide practical legal advice and support, working closely with lenders, borrowers, and institutional clients. This opportunity involves advising on complex financing arrangements, drafting key documentation, and supporting both domestic and cross-border transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide practical legal advice and support on real estate finance and asset finance transactions, acting for lenders, borrowers, and investors on a range of financing matters.
• Advise on commercial real estate financing, property development finance, and asset-backed lending structures, including transactions involving investment and development assets.
• Draft, negotiate, and review financing documentation including loan facility agreements, security documentation, intercreditor agreements, and ancillary finance documents.
• Support asset finance transactions, including financing arrangements involving equipment, infrastructure assets, and receivables-based or asset-backed lending structures.
• Manage domestic and cross-border financing transactions, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external counsel where required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Qualified lawyer eligible to practice in the UK with the right to work in the UK.
• Demonstrated experience advising on real estate finance, property finance, or asset finance transactions within a Banking & Finance team.
• Experience drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security packages, intercreditor agreements, and other finance documentation.
• Experience gained at leading law firms or high-quality in-house legal teams, with exposure to commercial real estate lending or asset-backed financing structures.
• Strong commercial awareness, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to deliver pragmatic, business-focused legal advice.
