This CLE session is specifically designed for lawyers to provide them with tools to help manage the high levels of stress and anxiety that are endemic to the legal profession. During this continuing legal education course, attendees will be introduced to the benefits of mindfulness and be given the building blocks for sustainable, tangible methods for managing stress and increasing mental wellness. The program does this by discussing the physical and emotional manifestations of stress and how mindful meditation can be a tool to effectively manage these ailments. In addition, the session focuses on how mindful meditation can help lawyers hone the skills that are so pivotal in the profession including effective collaboration, team building, active listening and sustainable diversity, equity and inclusion practices.

Chill Mediation

Darrell Jones is the general manager and co-lead instructor at Chill Meditation. Darrell started his training in consciousness studies and meditation in 2004 at the Bodhi Spiritual Center. In 2008, Darrell began teaching and supporting individuals and groups with guided practices. After receiving his Masters in Consciousness studies, Darrell helped launch a secular meditation studio in Chicago named Chill.  Chill the studio eventually became Chill Anywhere the app and website, helping people live less stressed and more mindful lives through guided mindful meditation classes. Drawing from tenets of philosophy, psychology, and neuroscience, Darrell blends his practice into accessible and powerful, guided meditation sessions. Known for his smile and desire to welcome anyone to meditation, he is excited to lead this course specifically designed for practicing attorneys.
