Join Our Team as a Commercial Attorney at Axiom

Location: Remote

We are seeking a Commercial Attorney to support a leading life sciences and biotech company. In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support commercial activities, manage contractual risk, and negotiate agreements that advance organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, negotiate, and secure approvals for a broad range of commercial agreements to support business objectives and mitigate legal risk.
  • Analyze legal rights, obligations, and strategic considerations to provide practical advice that advances the Company’s commercial goals.
  • Develop, review, and maintain contract templates and legal documentation while partnering with business stakeholders to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide legal guidance to Commercial Operations and Strategic Accounts teams on applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Design and deliver legal training programs to internal stakeholders on contract management, compliance, and other business-related legal matters.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified attorney in good standing and licensed to practice law by the appropriate regulatory authority within the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of five years of experience advising on commercial contracts, preferably including in-house counsel experience supporting life sciences and other highly regulated industries within a multinational corporation or a leading full-service law firm.
  • Experience supporting non-federal government procurement processes, including the review, negotiation, and management of government bids and contracts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of complex commercial agreements.
  • Proven ability to analyze and resolve legal and business issues of varying scope and moderate to high complexity.
  • Strong track record of driving successful outcomes through effective negotiation, stakeholder influence, and change management.
  • Experience providing practical legal advice on contractual rights, obligations, risks, and the legal implications of contract provisions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a global pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Compensation:

The estimated total compensation for this full-time Axiom attorney role is $104,500-150,000 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.  Employees may be eligible for additional benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance; paid holidays and PTO; flexible work arrangements; and professional development opportunities and tools.
