After a large acquisition, a regional airline needed to harmonize the acquired business into its parent operations, which required a clear picture of all contract obligations across the subsidiary. The contract set was large, varied in structure, and needed to be converted into a format compatible with the client’s internal systems.
Axiom partnered with the client to review nearly 3000 documents across a set of 15-30 different data points. Equipped with Legora, a senior Axiom attorney ran the AI tool across several contract families to pull out info such as lease descriptions, auto-renewal terms, NDA provisions, etc. He then developed custom workflows to upload the outputs into the client’s CMS using a custom data structure and unique set of naming conventions. In addition, Axiom supported a separate workstream in which they reviewed highly complex collective bargaining agreements against one another to compare negotiated terms, and understand which provisions were most favorable during their negotiation process.
