Join Our Team as an Attorney at Axiom
We are seeking an Asset Finance & Leasing Counsel to join our Financial Services team. In this role, you will provide legal support to clients on a broad range of asset finance, equipment leasing, and secured financing transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate equipment finance agreements, lease agreements, and related asset finance documentation.
- Advise clients on equipment financing structures, including secured lending, leasing arrangements, and asset-based financing transactions.
- Support the structuring and documentation of commercial equipment finance transactions across various industries, including industrial and manufacturing sectors.
- Provide legal guidance on credit risk, collateral structures, and security interests related to equipment and other financed assets.
- Work closely with credit, underwriting, operations, and business teams to support equipment finance programs and transactional execution.
- Review and negotiate vendor, dealer, and financing program agreements related to equipment finance platforms.
- Advise on regulatory and compliance considerations applicable to asset finance and leasing activities.
- Assist with portfolio management issues, restructurings, amendments, and workout matters involving financed equipment and leased assets.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in asset finance, equipment leasing, or secured lending transactions.
- Demonstrated experience working on equipment financing transactions, including drafting and negotiating related agreements.
- Strong knowledge of secured financing structures, collateral documentation, and asset-based lending frameworks.
- Experience supporting commercial finance transactions involving industrial or capital equipment.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with credit, business, and operational stakeholders.
- Juris Doctor (JD) and licensed to practice law in New York.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience advising industrial companies, equipment manufacturers, or equipment finance providers.
- Familiarity with vendor finance programs, dealer financing arrangements, and equipment leasing platforms.
- Experience supporting large equipment portfolios or structured asset finance transactions.
- Background working with financial institutions, leasing companies, or captive finance organizations.
Compensation:
The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500-325,000 per year and for non-attorney roles is $71,250-309,750 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
