Legal Consultant - Financial Services
Australia - Remote
Currently, we're hiring Financial Services - Legal Consultants to join us with:
- Ideally 3+ years’ experience within the general banking and / or capital markets sectors.
- In-house legal experience is preferred (directly, or as a secondee) though not essential.
- Knowledge of Australian financial laws and regulations (such as ASIC), with a particular focus on the financial sector.
- Strong commercial understanding and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Desire to provide excellent client service and an ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders.
The responsibilities for this role will include:
- Working with and advising business clients directly, while providing guidance and practical solutions in relation to general day to day banking matters.
- Supporting all legal matters, including legal / regulatory advice and contract drafting / reviewing across a broad product range within the bank (including Fintech initiatives).
- Analyzing new business initiatives and new products / services from a legal aspect where required.
- Proactively monitor and ensure compliance with domestic and international legal requirements, while promoting compliance culture and awareness within the business.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a view of providing commercially tailored advice.
