Life before Axiom: Brocade; Intel; Novell; Jones Day; UVA Law; Tufts
Childhood ambition: To be a professional hockey player. I actually still play, though not quite professionally (unless making the front page of the Mercury News counts!)
Most rewarding moment of your career: Closing an important deal in Hong Kong and receiving the Intel Achievement award, Intel’s highest honor. Aside from stock options and a trip to San Diego, they gave me a big glass plaque that I've kept over the years - albeit in the bottom of a trunk in the attic, but hey, who's keeping track?
Something you should know: I'm a tech geek. Gadgets, computers... you name it, I love it. More specifically, I'm a huge fan of Linux and if you have no idea what that is, count yourself amongst the majority.

This weekend may well be the last before the San Franciscan summer freeze sets in and we've got an agenda that is sure to have you making the most out of it. Start your Saturday by heading to the Uncorked! Wine Festival where you can enjoy over 50 varieties of wine. Learn to sniff and swirl like a pro with wine tasting classes taught by top sommeliers and garner some sweet baking tips from Top Chef contestant (and renowned Yoshi pastry chef) Marisa Churchill.
Armed with a full stomach, head on over to The Mission Bazaar where SF's most eccentric performers will treat revelers to gypsy, jazz, beatbox, and flamenco performances as well as circus acts, fashion shows and puppetry. It's so worthwhile that the historic Armory is opening its doors for the first time in over 30 years to a public exhibit of this sort.
If you haven't had your fill of quirkiness, wake up bright and early on Sunday and head to the annual Bay to Breakers, where hundreds of runners will aim to prove that costumes and running really do go hand in hand. Not ready to dig out your Star Wars light saber? Come as you are and root for the outrageous outfits (and racers, too!). Then, reward your early morning workout (and yes, applauding counts) with a trip to the 9th Annual San Francisco Oyster Festival. Though the live entertainment and cooking demos would be enough to get anyone there, it's the infamous Suck and Shuck Competition that seals the deal. Soon enough, we'll be flocking to the outer hoods in search of warmer weather... until then, enjoy the best the city has to offer.
