Who in their right mind would compete in a bike race in France where the goal was to ride 750 hilly miles in 90 hours or less?! While we’d just as soon stand on the sidelines drinking wine and shouting “allez, allez!”, John Quarterman, our resident trilingual lawyer/
ultramarathon cyclist, would prefer to ride. After earning his BA from Yale and his JD/MBA from UVA, John rode off to Germany in search of love and more education… and found both: his beautiful French wife Fabienne and his LLM from an acclaimed German University. Back in the States, John served as AGC for Berkeley International Capital Corporation before being tapped to become the GC for Berkeley’s parent company, London Pacific Technologies. Always up for challenges of epic proportions, John found Axiom and jumped on board while the SF office was still in its infancy. He kicked off his 1st engagement as the 2nd member of Anoto’s legal department, a Swedish tech company, providing legal support for commercial contracts and licensing activities. Currently on his 3rd engagement with no break in between, John is working with Cisco, negotiating complex channel agreements. Off the clock you can find him training for the Paris-Brest-Paris cycling competition in which he’ll be competing this August. Bonne chance, John! We’ll be cheering you on from the comforts of our sweatpants and living rooms. |
